Easy Candle Making with Kids
Candle-making with Wax is not easy, especially when kids are involved. But you don't need to worry about hot-burning materials in this case, as we will be using granulated Wax. We will also use wax colors so kids can enjoy creating beautiful designs.
From my experience, it's a really easy and fun activity for kids, and the parent doesn't need to worry about some injuries.
All you need are three easily accessible items, making the preparation process a breeze. This simplicity ensures that you can dive into the fun part of candle-making with your kids without any hassle.

What do you need:
A clear glass container
You can add a liquid candle scent if you like to have a strong scent.
1. Prepare the workspace
Set up your workspace and prepare everything you will need. Make sure everything is clean and ready for use.
2. Container
Prepare the glass container. I recommend Mason Jars because of their wide rims, which make candle-making easier for kids.
3. Pouring
If your kids have never tried candle making, I recommend showing them how to do it first. It's gonna be easier to understand the process.
Pick a jar of your choice and make sure it's properly dry.
Then, place the Pretabbed Wick in the container; if the jar is small, you can put just one in the middle. If it's bigger, you can use more of these. This is the perfect job for two people, so you can ask your kids to hold the Wick in the middle of the jar while you put the Granulated Wax inside.
Tip: If you don't have a partner to help you hold the Wick, you can use clothespins.
When putting the Wax inside, use your creativity and inspire your children to do the same; use different colors and layouts.
Then, repeat the process with your kids, let them pick their special jar and colors, and support their creativity.
4. Clean up
And the last step, probably the most unpopular one, is cleaning. But in this case, it's really easy. You can just sweep the extra Wax that dodged the jar, throw it to the bin, or put an extra Wax in some jars.
New Homemade Candles
Lighting your new homemade candles is simple; pick a safe, heat-proof surface where your kids can put the candle. Then, it depends on their age and ability. If you think they can light the candle by themselves, give them a lighter or strike match and again tell them how to do it safely. After each use, be sure to blow out the candle.
TIP!
This is a fantastic gift for Birthdays, Christmas and a gift for the teacher at the end of the year. If you want the candles as a gift, I recommend Mason Jars.
Also, you can use the same jars multiple times.
